Meet Wendy Thomas (She/Her/Hers), an Atlanta-based counselor dedicated to guiding adults and couples through life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. With a focus on communication, intimacy, grief, anxiety, depression, and life/career transitions, Wendy creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for her clients.

Wendy believes in embracing each client’s unique journey, whether it’s finding solace in a cozy couch session or expressing themselves through creative outlets like collages or coloring. She encourages authenticity and equally welcomes laughter, tears, and reflection, ensuring that every session is tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences. Recognizing the importance of self-care and prioritizing personal well-being, Wendy invites clients to pause, breathe, and reflect on their needs and goals.

For couples, including those practicing consensual non-monogamy, open or polyamorous relationships, Wendy has completed training in The Gottman Method, Levels 1 & 2, and is currently training in RLT (Relational Life Therapy). Wendy fosters an environment where couples can openly communicate while demonstrating mutual support for each other and their relationship(s). Wendy also creates an inclusive and supportive space for individuals who are navigating their relationship with a person(s) who is married/partnered and not practicing consensual non-monogamy.

With two decades in Atlanta, Wendy is deeply connected to the community, enjoying local food spots and exploring the natural beauty of North Georgia. She is passionate about supporting Planned Parenthood Southeast and NEXT-Atlanta, drawing inspiration from the vibrant arts scene in the city.

Wendy sees clients at the Kirkwood Office on Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays and the Grant Park Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She also offers virtual sessions for added convenience. Her counseling rates are $165 for individuals and $190 for couples per 50-minute session, with options for reimbursement or deductible application. Wendy also leads several 6-week Group Sessions in our Grant Park office that include topics related to: Grief, Womxn navigating their 40’s/Early 50s, and Persons recovering from Romantic Relationships with a Narcissist.

Amy Robbins, LPC serves as her clinical director and Dana Goldman, LPC is her clinical supervisor.
