AMY ROBBINS LPC, ACS, EMDR Certified/Consultant, RLT Certified

Meet Amy Robbins, an Atlanta-based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified RLT Practitioner, Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), and a Certified EMDR Therapy clinician with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades, beginning in 1999. Amy has dedicated her career to providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families in the Atlanta area.

Amy specializes in working with adults and relationships facing various challenges, including relationship concerns, grief, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, parenting, and more. She is committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can feel supported in their journey towards change and growth, reconnecting with their inner strengths and aspirations. Amy is an ally to all, a feminist and a fierce believer in women’s rights. Also, menopause is a real bitch and I am here to help you navigate it.

Describing herself as laid-back, open, honest, loyal, and strength-based, Amy approaches therapy with respect, compassion, and honesty. She creates a space where clients can explore deeply while feeling supported and empowered to navigate their challenges and reach their desired goals.

Certified in EMDR Therapy and as an EMDR Consultant, Amy often incorporates this trauma-based technique into her practice, offering clients rapid and transformative results. She is passionate about trauma work and utilizes EMDR Therapy to address issues such as trauma, grief, self-esteem, anxiety, and feeling “stuck.”

In couples therapy, Amy draws on Relational Therapy, integrating insights from relationship experts like Esther Perel and Terry Real. She is committed to helping relationships strengthen and navigate challenges with openness and honesty. Amy is one of 12 therapists in the State of Georgia who is Certified in RLT. Come join myself and Sheri Hardin LCSW as we host weekend Relationship Bootcamps based on RLT principles for all couples and individuals. This amazing couples intensive is game changing and knocks out 7-10 months of traditional talk therapy.

Amy includes breathwork, meditation and mindfulness in her therapy sessions with clients.

Outside of her practice, Amy enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, kayaking, and gardening. She is married and has a daughter who attends Drew Charter School as a senior.

Amy is actively involved in yoga and meditation. Amy completed Yoga Teachers Training at Sati Yoga (just around the corner from the Kirkwood office- support small business!) and is a Certified Meditation Teacher (through Meryl Arnett).

Amy teaches Yin and Nidra Yoga on Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm at Sati in Kirkwood. She also teaches Yin Yoga on Sundays at 4:45pm at Radiant Flow Yoga, highlighting her love for YIN Yoga.

Amy sees clients in the Kirkwood office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering virtual sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Her counseling rate is $250 per hour for individuals and $300 an hour for relationship therapy, and while she does not accept insurance directly, she provides statements for clients to seek reimbursement or apply towards their deductible.

Relationship intensives are offered in 4 hour blocks for $1600 for the couple (5 hours would be blocked to allow time for pausing/breaks). Weekend hours are available at $2200 for the same extended 4 hour block (blocking 5 hours).
