Amy Robbins is only accepting new couples clients at this time
Amy Robbins, an Atlanta-based LPC, ACS, CPCS, and Certified EMDR therapy clinician, has been providing therapeutic services to Atlanta area children, teens, adults, couples, and families since 1999.
I see adults for a variety of reasons including divorce, relationships, grief, depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, trauma, parenting and the list goes on.
I strive to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to change and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams.
I would describe myself as laid back, open, honest, loyal, and strength-based. I am respectful, yet challenging; compassionate, yet direct. I can hold the space for you. I can hold the space for you to dive in deep and be able to come up for air. I can help you get to where you want to go.
Most clients leave our first session feeling heard, connected, empowered, grounded and hopeful.
I am certified in EMDR Therapy, a trauma-based tool that provides fast results. Many clients seek me out for EMDR Therapy. You have my permission to Google it. I find it to be an incredible therapeutic technique and I love to incorporate it into therapy whenever we want to.
EMDR Therapy is an important part of my clinical world and trauma work is important to me. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and am interested in utilizing this technique when clinically appropriate. EMDR Therapy has been very helpful in trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, anxiety, and when one “feels stuck.” You have my permission to google away about EMDR. Or for specific information on EMDR Therapy please refer to this website www.emdr.com or www.emdria.org.
I see couples for therapy as well and utilize the Gottman Method as well as Relational Therapy, highlighting Esther Perel and Terry Real. I am very open and honest with each individual in the couples’ therapy process and seek to help each couple get to a stronger place in their relationship.
Outside of the office, I love to hike, camp, kayak, garden and get to the water (Honestly any water will do- beach, river, waterfalls, lake, etc.). I am married and my kiddo goes to Drew Charter School.
I am a mentor with the START ME business program for East Lake. I am on the Board of Directors for the Wylde Center.
I see clients in the office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I am virtual on Wednesdays and Fridays.
My counseling rate is $225 an hour. I do not accept insurance. I am happy to give you a statement to be reimbursed (or applied to your deductible) with your insurance. Lots of options. Feel free to reach out to me at 706-406-3404 or Amy@amyrobbinscounseling.com
