Margaret Fitzpatrick is an Atlanta based therapist. I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW. I have been providing therapeutic services in Atlanta for three years. Prior to that I was the director of a mental health community agency in Massachusetts for 15 years.
I see adolescents, adults and families. I help them manage issues with their relationships, divorce, trauma, depression, anxiety and other life challenges. Family therapy is a strength of mine as well as working with teens and young adults. I am trained in EMDR and love to include that in my work with clients.
I focus on developing a relationship to create a safe environment to work through life challenges and engender growth. I am a warm person, who uses humor to engage. I am direct and encouraging in the therapeutic environment with a focus on an individual’s strengths. I provide therapy that is tailored for each client. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches such as family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative and supportive therapy.
In my personal life I enjoy hiking, mountain biking and kayaking. My husband and I have two dogs that keep us active. I am learning to garden in the South but have had some challenges! Those tomato eating squirrels are brutal.
My counseling rate is $175 an hour. I do not accept insurance. I can give you a statement to be reimbursed (or applied to your deductible) with your insurance. I see clients virtually and in person. Please contact me at 470-785-5486 or Margaret@amyrobbinscounseling.com.
