Welcome! I’m Weezie Haley, a Nationally Certified Counselor and APC, a counselor dedicated to making a positive impact on my clients’ lives every day. I work with adults and teenagers aged 14 and up. My ideal clients are women experiencing depression, anxiety, or wanting extra support through life’s many challenges. I also have a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating their gender identity or seeking a provider who can understand the impact of chronic illness and other physical conditions on mental wellness. I am passionate about working with individuals who may be experiencing climate-related emotions including grief and anxiety as well. However, I am open to a wide array of clients and would love to have a conversation about your individual needs to see if we are a good fit.
As a counselor, I am deeply committed to providing personalized care tailored to your unique needs. I am here to hold space and support you through life’s transitions and the pursuit of your personal goals. I offer a holistic, person-centered approach that emphasizes unconditional positive regard and draws from a wide array of methodologies, including DBT, CBT, Feminist Therapy and Family Systems Therapy. I also have an extensive background in inpatient psychiatric settings. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor and welcome clients from all walks of life.
I take an easygoing, non judgemental stance and use warmth and humor to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your therapeutic journey, empowering you to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. Our therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance to me, and I will collaborate with you to build a genuine connection that provides a strong foundation for our work together.
My journey to counseling has been influenced by my background in the art world, where I worked in museums and galleries. It was there that I discovered my passion for understanding the psychology behind artwork and delving into artists’ stories. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I felt a calling to transition into counseling, driven by a deep desire to forge meaningful interpersonal connections and support others in their journey towards healing and growth.
Outside of counseling, I am a people person, animal lover, and community-oriented individual. I find joy in being outdoors, caring for my environment, and giving back to those around me. When I’m not in the office, you can find me winding down with mindful activities such as hiking, gardening, yoga, knitting, reading, and photography.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and a Bachelor’s from Brown University. I am an Atlanta native and attended the Paideia School. Currently, I reside in East Atlanta with my partner and our Labrador, Bob.
I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to schedule an appointment or for a brief consultation to explore how we can work together to achieve your goals.
