Meet Margaret Fitzpatrick, an Atlanta-based therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a rich background in providing therapeutic services. Margaret has been serving the Atlanta community for three years, following a successful 15-year tenure as the director of a mental health community agency in Massachusetts.

Margaret specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and families, assisting them in navigating various challenges such as relationships, divorce, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other life obstacles. She excels in family therapy and has a keen understanding of working with teens and young adults. Margaret is also trained in EMDR and incorporates this transformative technique into her work with clients.

Central to Margaret’s approach is the cultivation of a therapeutic relationship that fosters a safe environment for growth. Known for her warmth and humor, Margaret engages clients directly and encourages them to leverage their strengths in overcoming challenges. She tailors therapy to each individual, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities including family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and supportive therapy.

In her personal life, Margaret enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. She shares her home with her husband and their two energetic dogs. Margaret is also trying her hand at gardening in the South, despite the challenges posed by tomato-eating squirrels!

Margaret’s counseling rate is $200 per hour, and while she does not accept insurance directly, she provides statements for clients to seek reimbursement or apply towards their deductible. She offers both virtual and in-person sessions. Margaret sees clients in the Kirkwood office location.
